Technology
The heart of a variable speed switch is the electronic control circuit. Capax has got in-house development capabilities and production capacity to produce circuits.

The development of the electronic control circuit for a variable speed switch is based on the requirements of the application as presented by the power tool manufacturer. Elements like the required speed control range, the voltage, the power and construction of the motor or the specification of the battery pack are used as input for the design of the electronic circuit.

Production is based on Thick Film Technology. On ceramic substrates conductor and resistor patterns are screen printed and discrete components like capacitors or ICs are assembled by means of pick and place equipment. For a number of designs Capax processes bare IC-chips in die-attach and wire-bonding operations. The electronic circuits are customer adjusted by active laser-trimming to the required specifications. Continuous quality monitoring is part of the process. Thick Film Technology
Capax is authorized by the main Approval Boards like UL, CSA and IEC to execute in-house product release tests. That means that the Capax Test Laboratory is doing the required tests and is preparing the related reports. The results are sent to the Approval Board, which then issues a Certificate of Approval. This in-house approval testing saves time and money for the power tool manufacturer and it illustrates the international recognition of Capax’ level of expertise. Capax Test Laboratory
